We are looking for a talented WordPress Web Developer focused on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to take the lead and work hard on improving our various websites. This role is ideal for a proven WordPress Developer who aims to take ownership of the work. You will be working very closely with the Search Engine Optimization team to produce high quality websites and design that delivers optimum user experience to our users and fully optimized for organic search.

WordPress Web Developer Responsibilities:

• Be the leader in web development with knowledge on how Google Organic Search Algorithm works for WordPress sites
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working web pages
• Perform basic web updates
• Be main point of contact for page speed, core web vitals, and other tech improvements for the goal of improved SEO performance (rankings)
• Be the expert in best practices for page load speed optimization and work across all teams to evaluate and optimize page speed for all websites
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications using WordPress CMS and related themes and plugins
• Research technical problems and suggest improvements. Troubleshoot and solve software issues. Other website development or maintenance projects as needed
• Troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with our Marketing team
• A general understanding of ADA website regulations
• Effective communication skills; listening, written and verbal; ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical team members

WordPress Web Developer Required Experience:

• Must be legally eligible to work in the US
• 2 to 5 years of experience with HTML5, & CSS3, PHP, JavaScript
• Experience with Google/Search technologies (SEO, Analytics, AMP) is required
• Experience with MySQL preferred
• Experience with Git, JSON, REST preferred but not required
• Understanding how Google Organic Search Algorithm works for WordPress sites
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser testing
• Experience with WordPress including developing custom plugins and building highly performant and reliable interfaces with other systems
• Knowledge of and some experience with the WordPress Block (Gutenberg) editor
• Proficiency with creating and modifying custom theme files and child themes
• Knowledge of server-side tasks (cPanel, Database Creation, Site Migration, Backup/Restore)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
