Gypsea Gelato Server/Barista Job Description:

Gypsea Gelato is looking to add more high energy, enthusiastic people to join our team at our Kealakekua location! Servers are the core team members of the Gypsea Gelato shops and are the ones who bring smiles to our customers’ faces. We are specifically looking for a server/barista to work opening shifts weekends at our Kainaliu location. Servers greet our guests, scoop the best cups and cones of gelato, and create wonderful moments for all our customers. Barista or customer server experience preferred, but not required. If you have a can-do and team-oriented attitude and enjoy talking with new people we can teach you the rest!

What You’ll Do (and more!)

• Greet customers warmly and enthusiastically

• Be an expert on current flavors and provide information and suggestions to customers

• Scoop gelato

• Maintain cleanliness (sweeping, mopping, wiping down tables and counters)

• Restock supplies like cups, napkins, spoons, etc.

• Prepare coffee, espresso, and tea drinks at Kainaliu location

• Be a positive and supportive teammate always seeking ways to help others.

Pay and Benefits

Pay includes base pay ($12) and tips. Pay can go up in the first 1-2 months depending on performance. Health insurance for full-time employees. Free gelato each shift! There is room for developing skills, gaining experience, and contributing ideas to this growing company!

Schedule

Part-Time available. We are especially looking for servers/baristas to work weekend openings 8am-3:30pm.
