The Position
The Warehouse Attendant will manage all shipping and receiving from both internal and external customers, stock shelves and maintain inventory. Will distribute materials to technicians and contractors at window and in the warehouse yard. The warehouse attendant is responsible for all on hand counts. He/she will perform cycle counts monthly and physical counts bi-annually where inventory counts are loaded into Excel. Warehouse attendants work daily to allocate material and ensure it is prepped and ready for pick up when necessary. Once allocated the warehouse attendant works in the applicable operating systems to which notifies the field that all gear is onsite for installation. He/she will participate in company safety program by working safely and following established safety practices, take advantage of employee training opportunities including those pertaining to new equipment, procedures, and installation/repair processes associated with basic telephone services. The Warehouse Attendant will control cost by employing efficient work practices, evaluating purchases, effectively using material and supplies, utilizing fixed assets, and practicing good time management. Assist in other areas as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Distributing equipment to technicians and contractors. Stocking, ordering, allocating, shipping and receiving
- Responsible for responding to the field emails and inputting data into the applicable operating system
- Miscellaneous administrative duties such as material management, time reporting, order clearing, inventory counting, and audits
- Equipment testing (DSL, Set-top Testing, shipping and receiving modems)
- Responsible for travel to other warehouses to cover when necessary with less than 24 hour notice
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent;
- Experience: 4-5 years Warehouse experience; Valid State Drivers’ License; Telecom experience; Fork Lift experience a plus
- Key Competencies: Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing. Computer competence; Working knowledge in Microsoft Office; organizational skills; Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time; Experience with Physical Inventory and Cycle Counts; possess good employee and customer relational skills; good oral and written communication skills; capable of using, extension ladders and/or step ladders. Ability to lift up to 75lbs. Ability to operate a forklift truck.
