Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator Job at Badger State Staffing
Badger State Staffing of Appleton is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join a mid-size manufacturing and distribution company in the Appleton area. This company cuts, welds and ships specialty piping across the US and Canada. An ideal Warehouse Associate for this role has strong communication skills, mechanically inclined, and has an interest in learning all the facets of the warehouse.
Warehouse Associate – Job Duties
Receiving:
- Inspect product for damaged, defects and correctness
- Verify accuracy of load against packing slips
- Unload shipments from Semi Trailers and stock shelves
Shipping
- Pull items according to packing slip
- Select packing/shipping method and pack in orderly method
- Prepare Bills of Lading and schedule with truckline/carrier
- Loading a shipment onto a truck or flatbed, usually with a forklift
Warehouse
- Operate forklift to move product
- Utilize a variety of power tools such as drills and grinders
- Utilize Bandsaw to cut pipe to length
- Drive to local vendors/customers with trailer to pick up or drop off product
- Secure loads onto trailer in accordance with safety standards
- Some general shop and grounds maintenance will be required such as: Keeping up with warehouse cleanliness and snow removal as needed
Warehouse Associate – Job Requirements
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must be able to add fractions and whole numbers
- Must have strong written and oral communication and customer service experience
- Must be able to lift to 60lbs regularly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
