What You’ll Do:

The VP of Supply Chain is a newly created role for Gymreapers, our team is growing! This role will be responsible for directing and implementing the operational strategy, business process, and systems for overall distribution operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and transportation. The VP of Supply Chain plays a critical role in the development and implementation of operational planning capabilities and innovation in support of business growth!

In addition, this role will:

• Identify the most efficient and cost-effective methods to move inventory throughout the supply chain.
• Oversee the supply chain budget and operating performance, along with key service, quality and cost metrics and focus on continuous improvement programs.
• Responsible for the development and communication of the supply chain to drive high quality customer service while optimizing inventory levels.
• Be highly “process driven” and continuously improve the supply chain and manage complex customer needs.
• Oversee contracting, initiating and monitoring production of the products needed to meet the company’s supply needs allowing for optimum quality, efficiency, and maximum profits.
• Align and optimize the buy process, end-to-end; reconcile short- and long-term buying processes, and create a Center of Excellence (COE) for buying capabilities inclusive of demand planning, supply planning, purchasing, fulfillment, etc.
• Identify, lead, and develop strong relationships with key suppliers, key contract/pricing negotiations, and strategic sourcing alliances.
• Maintain working knowledge of key markets, commodities and inputs, and establish indicator metrics to identify price movements.
• Benchmark and work to understand similar environments to implement best practices to continue to transform Gymreapers into a world-class enterprise.
• Provide strategic cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Operations, Product, Quality and Customer Service to ensure team alignment and execute strategic planning initiatives to align with business needs. Assist with the development of new brands and product lines for best practice to integrate into the Gymreapers supply chain.
• Oversee and lead Gymreapers inventory management focusing on improving our cash position.
• Oversee and manage the flow of goods between the point of origin and the point of consumption in the most efficient and cost-effective manner to meet the requirements of customers.
• Ensures required inventory and products needed by operations and products are available at the most cost-effective price to meet customer demand and quality standards.
• Other duties and projects as assigned

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum of 7+ years of broad-based supply chain experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Logistics/ Engineering/Supply Chain/E-Commerce or related field
• Preferred Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
• Knowledge of six sigma and lean concepts is a plus
• Strong understanding of supply chain metrics, production planning, and vendor relationships
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and lead a team of skilled professionals to deliver corporate results
• Able to influence across all levels of the organization
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Manage time to meet tight deadlines while remaining organized, detail-oriented, accurate and thorough
• Experience in Strategic Planning and Execution
• Leadership in change management
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude with internal and external clients with an openness to new ideas and differing opinions
