DEFINITION: The purpose of this job/class within the organization is to assist and produce all audio/video communications for the City's broadcasts. This job/class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Not all inclusive): Conduct pre-production and post-production work as audio/video editor and graphics producer for programs to be broadcast. Produce/record single and multi-camera live and/or recorded video shoots in studio and field production. Maintain and troubleshoots television and studio technical equipment; conducts or reports necessary repairs. Compose script-writing for long and short format video production. Confer with program talent and hosts; monitors air signal return for quality control. Teach and mentor interns; demonstrates how to produce programs for air broadcast and the steps involved.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by minimum of five years practical and hands-on experience and extensive knowledge of video broadcasting at a television station (studio and field video recording, post-production video and audio editing, script writing and editing, strong knowledge of producer responsibilities and tasks for both studio and remote productions.) Strong fluency with Spanish is required.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Requires a driver's license valid in the State of Florida.
