Vending Department Manager - ACE Job at AmeriGas Propane, Inc.

Directly collaborate with Vending Project Manager on vending installations. Also manage day to day operations with 4 Vending Coordinators and 10 ending Technicians to include:
- Once vending machines are installed, oversees everything involved with machines going online, functioning and reporting in correctly, trouble-shooting vending issues with the vending team and customer.
- Oversee and support vending technicians to ensure vending machine issues are resolved safely and correctly; also using third party repair vendors as needed
- Work with AVAT team to ensure customer issues are resolved quickly.
- Oversee customer refunds
- Work as needed with the Distribution Team / Delivery Coordinators
- Work with vending manufacturer as needed
- Work with Licensing and Permitting and National Accounts Departments
- Oversee all customer related projects that involve vending such as store remodels (where equipment must be moved).
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies:
- Project Management – Experience to direct and lead ACE vending projects both effectively and clearly, explaining the project goals and each member’s tasks, responsibilities, expectations and feedback. Communication is critical to effectively to bring in multi-million dollar projects on schedule and within budget. Has leadership qualities to motivate a collective team and drive performance that ensure the project timelines and goals are met.
- Technical and computer experience – Business expertise of AmeriGas equipment; knowledge of vending machines, propane cylinders, etc. to ensure proper action is taken in a timely manner to address any issues. Also proficient with Microsoft Office Suite as well as ability to learn and navigate proprietary vending software.
- Leadership – Has leadership to lead their team in the right direction while adapting to the changes and challenges along the way. Great delegation skills and desire to empower their team members to embrace front line ownership of their respective tasks within the department.
- Problem solver – Resolves conflicts due to differences in opinion by negotiating to settle the issues and maintain harmony in the team
Duties and Responsibilities:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Prior leadership / management experience with high customer focus
- Computer / Mechanical skillset (understand programming, light mechanical repairs, etc.)
- Ability to lead team remotely
- Strong safety mindset
- Budgeting and data analysis skills required
- Highly organized, ability to prioritize and multi-task regularly
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables and V-lookups) and Access
Education and Experience Required:
- BA/BS in Business or Computer Science preferred
- 5+ years progressive management experience preferred
Working conditions:
Position home office based; limited travel required (25%)
