Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a highly qualified VBS3 Technical/Functional SME to support the requirements for the Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE), Mission Simulation Center (MSC) in Fort Sill, OK. This task requires personnel with unique specialty skills and knowledge to provide operator inputs for Leaders and Soldiers during joint fires and targeting exercises at the operational level of conflict. The qualified candidate will support training exercises in accordance with (IAW) the Field Artillery and Air Defense Artillery Schools, applicable Programs of Instruction (POI), and published training schedules.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Shall provide train-the-trainer instruction on virtual systems (VBS3).
- Shall operate VBS3 systems in the stand-alone mode or in a combined/interoperable simulations exercise to support soldier/unit training, capability demonstrations, and new version testing as required.
- Shall support training courses, events, and demonstrations as Close Air Support (CAS) / Army Attack Aviation Role-players.
- Shall support training courses, events, and demonstrations as Fire Support Role-players.
- Shall operate VBS3 systems, to include new system fieldings, to validate the operation of new and enhanced software/hardware as it is installed and provide recommendations for changes or acceptance as it pertains to meeting training requirements.
- Shall instruct training audience to operate VBS, Voisus Systems and tools, to enable students and cadre to successfully complete training event.
- Shall support Tours of Facility/Demonstrate Capabilities and provide operator support for tours of the facility and brief system capabilities for government designated groups and individuals.
- Shall maintain, monitor, back up, update, and recover the MSC Microsoft Office Access Activity Report Database as required by the Director, MSC.
- Shall assist proponent training developers build proponent training content, placing objects and entities, defining AI actions through scripting, creating and integrating audio assets, and displaying text and graphics, as defined in approved project documentation.
- Shall be responsible for Installation, Operation, and Maintenance of GFT Applications.
- Shall be responsible for authoring training tasks.
- Shall install new software releases, updates, licenses, and security patches, as required by the government systems administrator or the applicable program manager.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- One (1) years’ experience supporting training exercise operating VBS3 in a low overhead training environment.
- High school diploma and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Fire Support operations, training, and planning.
- One (1) years’ experience in VBS3 database administration and in database design and maintenance.
- One (1) years’ experience developing and executing functional vignettes for test events and planning and executing Operational Readiness Events (ORE).
Clearance: Requires a Secret clearance
