Valuation Analyst, Private Debt Job at Cliffwater
Cliffwater LLC is currently accepting resumes for the position of Valuation Analyst, Private Debt to join our growing team of investment professionals focused on middle market direct lending strategies. The position is primarily responsible for valuing fund investments with a focus on direct lending investments.

Responsibilities are as follows:
- Perform research and analysis of credit agreements and other investment documents for senior secured loans to middle market companies to collect and summarize key investment terms and loan covenants
- Build, implement and maintain Cliffwater Corporate Lending Fund (CCLFX) and Cliffwater Enhanced Lending Fund (CELFX) valuations
- Reconcile loan inputs, valuations and terms generated from internal models to communicate to externally provided data sources and to calculate end-of-day net asset values (NAV)
- Effectively liaise with each co-investment counterparty to collect investment inputs and other valuation documentation
- Monitor daily changes in the market generally and S&P/LSTA Leveraged Loan Index specifically to identify potential changes in valuation inputs
- 1-3 years of relevant experience; previous private credit asset class valuation experience
- Familiarity with Cliffwater’s research
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects
- Keen attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Effective communication skills
- Skilled in prioritizing deliverables and consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment or individually as needed
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and other Microsoft programs
The position will be located in Cliffwater’s Los Angeles office. We started in 2004 and have offices located in Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY.
