Director of Imaging Services has dual hospital responsibilities. Manages, supervises and coordinates the Imaging services through program development, leadership and supervision of staff, developing and managing administrative standards to monitor and improve quality of services. Supports the professional practices of radiologists or other health care practitioners as needed to meet the goals and vision of the organization.
Education & Training: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in health related science required. Master’s degree in Health Care Administration or MBA preferred. Must have one of the following Imaging credentials:
- Rad Tech/Cat Scan Tech/MRI Tech - Must be board certified through ARRT (RT-R). Must possess Maryland Board of Physicians Radiographer license.
- Sonographer - Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS.
- Nuclear Medicine Tech - Must possess CNMT (N.M.T.C.B.) and/or RT(N) (A.R.R.T.). Must possess Maryland Board of Physician Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience at a managerial level with responsibility for overall department performance and multiple budget centers. Experience with Performance Improvement models, The Joint Commission standards compliance, and maintaining multiple regulatory licensure requirements.
