Position Title: Van Driver
Supervisor’s Title: Administrator
General Statement of Responsibilities: The Van Driver is responsible for transporting residents and staffs as assigned and insuring vehicles are in good repair and safe operating order.
Major Job Duties:
1. Transport residents and accompanying staff as assigned.
2. Run errands for residents and staff assigned.
3. Maintain current PA driver’s license and safe driving record.
4. Immediately report any traffic violation incurred on or off job to supervisor.
5. Ensure vehicle is inspected; has good tires, regular oil changes, and tune-ups conducted.
6. Make arrangements for maintenance and repair services.
7. Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings as requested.
8. Perform other job tasks such as assisting with residents as assigned and requested.
Qualifications:
1. A valid Driver’s License
2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities In: Safe driving, vehicle maintenance. Must be able to see and drive. Follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements/Abilities: Must be able to physically assist residents in and out of vehicles, and assist in ready wheelchairs; must have good interpersonal skills; and be able to work with geriatric patients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
