Job Description
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Develop, implement and evaluate new training initiatives (including on-line Academy learning programs) to maximize guest satisfaction and operational effectiveness
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute and/or facilitate all training activities within the hotel. Coordinate trainings facilitated by external vendors when needed.
  • Facilitate and support Fairmont Learning Programs with a focus on New Hire Orientation, Heartist Journey, Service Culture and Luxury Service Standards
  • Collaborate with Department Heads to ensure the maintenance and update of Job Task Checklists
  • Conduct yearly training needs analysis in collaboration with Department Heads and ensure Department Training Plans are up to date
  • Support Department Heads in the implementation and monitoring of Fairmont Century Plaza’s operating standards and service standards
  • Work in conjunction with Quality Assurance Manager to analyze Guest Satisfaction Results and plan trainings to address service issues as required
  • Work directly with the Talent Acquisition Manager and Talent & Culture Coordinator to ensure all new hires receive their New Hire Orientation
  • Offer ongoing support to Departmental Trainers, holding regular training meetings to review new information, share best practices, and encourage conversation and engagement in training throughout the hotel
  • Develop strategic improvement initiatives with Leadership Team for Guest Name Usage
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant information and training records in INES or as required
  • Acts as property champion for INES Academy platform
  • Support a work environment reflective of Fairmont's values
  • Assists Talent & Culture with administration and support as required
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Previous proven experience developing and facilitating management development training programs
  • Proven organizational skills, works well on own initiative and as a team, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and LMS
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to develop and encourage an open, stimulating and trusting environment that reflects our company Mission and Values
  • Self-confident and able to communicate easily with all levels of an organization from line colleagues to Executives
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources leadership capacity, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • University/college degree or diploma required
  • Formal education or certification in Human Resources Management an asset
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Second language an asset
