What’s the job?

This position provides key support to the plant management assisting in the development, implementation, and maintaining health & safety training initiatives and job specific training programs. A key aspect of this position will include the responsibility for administrating the plants OHSAS 18001 Management System and Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Responsible for identifying and ensuring employees are properly trained for all required OSHA, operations, and company specific health & safety requirements
  • Assist the Training Supervisor with creating training content using innovative tools and software
  • Assist Management in creating, maintaining and cascading ongoing business communication to all employees on site.
  • Plan and track employee training and qualification utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Plan and track reactive, preventative and proactive training plans
  • Coordinates new employee orientation/safety training
  • Responsible for maintaining the plant training room, materials, and equipment
  • Assist the Safety Supervisor with EHS activities
  • Observe working conditions, equipment and employee behaviors to identify safety, quality, functional and comprehension problems for corrective actions related to training
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
  • Maintain training and development systems for Production, Quality, Shipping Maintenance
  • Deliver training as required such as basic WCM principles as 5S, Fishbone analysis and 5- why statements
  • Monitor Human error tracking for gaps in training and development, identify actions to close these gaps
  • Support HR and departments to ensure job coverage matrices are sufficient as well as supporting department functional training tools and documents
  • Monitor LMS training records to support the site to be in compliance with employee safety and compliance training

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

What do you bring?

  • High School diploma (2 or 4 year college degree is highly preferred)
  • Advanced ability to use MS Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • LMS management and development experience
  • Experience as a trainer for multifunctional teams
