The City of Salisbury is seeking self-motivated candidates who will perform difficult professional work planning, coordinating and directing traffic and transportation related projects, including the operation and maintenance of the computerized signal system, traffic engineering and street lighting. Supervision is exercised over traffic personnel. T

Minimum Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree with coursework in civil engineering, or related field and moderate experience in traffic engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience

 Possession of registration as a Professional Engineering (PE) through the NC Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors or the ability to obtain within a designated period

 Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and equipment related to traffic engineering

 Ability to communicate technical ideas effectively, orally and in writing through presentations and technical reports

 Valid NC Driver’s License

Salary range: $62,690.31 – $91,000.00 (Depending on Experience)

$2,000.00 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after completion of 90 days.
