Job description

We are looking for a motivated toddler teacher to run the daily operations of our toddler program. Duties of the toddler teacher include lesson planning, diaper changing, overseeing meal times, interacting with parents, supervising indoor and outdoor play, assisting with nap time and collaborating with other toddler staff to support a strong toddler program. The ideal candidate should have a love for children, display a positive, upbeat attitude, exhibit a patient and warm personality, as well as, be a team player. If you have previous experience in child care, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful toddler teacher will create an inviting, caring and educational classroom in which the children can learn, develop and grow.

Responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining a daily routine within the classroom
• Communicating with parents on a daily basis
• Providing age appropriate activities and lesson plans daily
• Assessing the developmental needs of each child on a quarterly basis
• Collaborating with other center staff to ensure efficient operation of the program
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment at all times
• Tending to the individual needs of each child daily
• Completing all required paperwork and training in a timely manner

Requirements:

• 2+ years childcare experience
• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED

Additional Considerations:

• Degree in Early Childhood or related field
• Knowledge of Keystone STARS criteria
• Child Development Associate Certificate
• Additional college credits in education
