Telecommunications Construction Supervisor
1. Position Summary
TRC Construction is looking for the ideal candidate for coordinating and managing all underground and aerial communications construction projects including residential, commercial, forced relocate and maintenance work. This position would lead in-house crews and subcontractors in the Raleigh/Durham NC area.
2. Requirements
Academic/Technical Qualifications
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Minimum 3-5 years of utility construction experience
Knowledge and Experience
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Must have valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle
- Ability to learn from experience
- Must be able to read construction maps and designs
- Must be able to speak appropriately to homeowners as well as educate
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time
- Ability to be covered by company auto insurance
Technical Skills
- Ability to use GPS if needed
- Efficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Ability to read blueprints
- Check emails periodically throughout the day and respond accordingly
- Basic electrical knowledge
Industry Experience
- Previous construction management experience preferred
Communication Skills
- Ability to take direction and work independently
- Ability to develop and maintain working relation with employees, subcontractors, and customers
Attitudes and Behavior
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

4. Working Conditions
· Work full-time, which may include weekends, holidays, or after hours depending on customer needs. This job involves standing, sitting, walking, climbing ladders, and transporting materials via truck or trailer to jobsites.
· Must be able to carry 50lbs+.
· Must adhere to strict safety regulations to ensure the safety of themselves and their team members. They must wear appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
· May need to travel to different job sites or work locations.
· Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and safety.
5. Essential Functions
· Responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects in their entirety, from planning and scheduling to execution and completion.

· They must provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues.
· Must be able to identify and solve problems that arise during the construction process.
· They must be able to make quick decisions and take appropriate actions to keep the project on track.
