The ideal candidates must be a creative, organized leader with the ability to develop and execute evidence-based programs that enhance academic performance; prepares students for post-secondary opportunities and builds their life and social skills. Candidate must be a team player, yet able to single-handedly plan and implement career exposure opportunities including recruiting and scheduling speakers, field trips and vocational opportunities. Must enthusiastically implement all activities and inspire students to become leaders in their community. Successful Program Coordinators must simultaneously provide structure, compassion and motivation for disengaged youth while ensuring program integrity. We serve high school students who are often moody and disengaged and begin the program with little interest in school. They often feel out of place and are searching for where they belong. The ideal candidate will serve as a mentor, positive role model and motivator to students, their families, other staff and external stakeholders. Program Coordinators must be willing and able to build long-term relationships that encourages teens to stay with the program for multiple years. Coordinators must gather and analyze program data and submit monthly reports in a timely manner. Program Coordinators must be flexible and willing to perform additional duties as assigned.

Applicants must primarily have a passion for changing the lives of teens who lack direction and drive. Candidates who have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a client focused career path or a minimum of four (4) years of experience working with youth are preferred. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Program Coordinators should work well with others in an ever-changing multi-faceted environment. He/she must be committed to personal growth, as well as dedicated to helping young people build on existing assets. Teen Program Group Leaders will assist teens with making positive choices about their health and well-being, academic achievement and interaction with others. Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds and possess physical mobility. Must be able to travel and periodically work flexible hours including Saturdays and evenings. Access to a vehicle with insurance and valid Ohio Driver’s License required. All applicants must be a US citizen or possess a valid US working visa. Applicants will be required to complete a BCI/FBI background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.50 per hour
