Position Summary

Assist CRIT Computer Resources with managing Salesforce databases for computer hardware and software asset administration. Assist with general operations involving inventory management and deployment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with managing large-scale Salesforce databases for school-wide computer hardware and software inventory, to support ongoing asset acquisition, deployment, maintenance and replacement.
  • Add and update database records to reflect current inventory status, correct data errors, and conform to evolving data entry protocols.
  • Create reports in Salesforce and Google Workspace, to provide data on asset assignments and usage, anticipated replacement schedules and cost, potential redundancies and inefficiency, etc.
  • Work with CRIT Salesforce and IT administrators to resolve database functionality issues, and enhance operational capabilities.
  • Suggest improvements to user interface elements as needed, to streamline data entry and reporting workflows.
  • Facilitate computer hardware and peripheral requests in conjunction with CRIT IT technicians and student workers, and SAIC faculty and staff. Incorporate Salesforce data entry and ticketing workflows as standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate with constituents as needed, including SAIC end-users and external third-party providers, to facilitate hardware and software asset requests, perform database management tasks, etc.
Assist with other Computer Resources operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with cloud-based IT asset management platform, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and macOS.
  • Ability to prioritize and carry out tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills.
