Responsibilities

  • Determine cause of malfunction through the use of test equipment, test drives, service information (bulletins) and information supplied by customers
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Review vehicle history files
  • Maintain regular attendance at shop meetings
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Return Company tools to designated areas daily
  • Maintain required production levels 100-110%

Qualifications

  • Certification or any previous experience in a related position
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
  • Maintain a clean, neat personal appearance
  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Valid Illinois driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Hours:
Monday - Friday 7:30AM until 4:00PM
Saturday - 7:00AM until 12:00PM (once per month)
