Job Title: Technical Writer/Editor 2
Pay Rate: $25.50 to 30/Hr
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Walpole, MA

This position is for the Healthcare Diagnostics division.

We are looking for a Technical Writer/Editor 2.

• Develop and revise comprehensive documentation used in validation activities
• Write clear, concise, work procedures and guidance documents associated with validated applications
• Engage with the Documentation team to route and release validation documentation and guidance documents
• Evaluate current content and identify improvements in both validation documents and guidance documents
• Assist with the execution, and documentation, of validation plan test scripts
• Obtain and organize objective evidence used in validation test scripts
• Transform complicated/technical information into documentation that may be easily understood by different functions
• Interface with internal review boards for approval and guidance
• Independently research the technical applications and internal processes to become most effective and efficient at the validation process

Daily Responsibilities

• Write, and edit, new and existing content, working closely with the Biostatistics team
• Independently gather information from subject matter experts in the Biostatistics team to develop and write validation plans, validation reports, and guidance documents
• Work with the validation lead to identify the location of documentation associated with the current project
• Working within the document repository application, route and obtain approvals of the required documents for each validation activity
• Work with validation lead to execute required test scripts within each validation and obtain objective evidence

Skills and Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience as a technical writer
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience writing documentation and guidance documents
• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• Bachelor’s degree in technical communication or a related field
• Attention to detail and clarity of expression lead to error-free documentation
• Ability to create graphics, charts, figures, etc. that enhance the clarity of the written content
• Ability to network within the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of SAP and basics of coding/programming
• Understanding of basic statistics
• Experience working in a regulated environment, life sciences preferred
• Technical writer certification

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
