Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Technical Support Engineer's role is to provide high level support for all computer-based operations so that our end users can accomplish organizational goals more efficiently. This includes configuring IT support tools used within the organization and assessing known problems to provide long term solutions to increase effectiveness of our support teams.

Primary Tasks:

• Develop packages for deploying applications, patches, and updates to the Choctaw Nation Public Safety application programs.

• Develop and maintain scripts to supplement packaging and other support tools.

• Develop and maintain knowledge bases, FAQ resources, and the publish to Choctaw Nation ITSM tool(s) to aid in problem resolution.

• Troubleshoot pre- and post-deployment application issues and recommend solutions.

• Provide leadership and support to Technical Support Specialists to help them serve the End-User community more proficiently.

• Modify configurations, utilities, and maintain software/application settings for Public Safety Service programs

• Tier II Support for Public Safety service programs and applications.

• Create, test, and deploy software packages through the ITSM tools, Sandbox, and Change Control processes

• Other tasks as assigned

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

MINIMUM

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, criminal justice, or equivalent working experience

• Six years experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments and VoIP communication solutions

• Six years of related work experience with the following:

• Public safety body camera solutions

• Dispatch systems

• CCTV Surveillance systems

• Motorola Solutions

• Digital intelligence and forensic platforms
