Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Technical Manager, Data and Analytics to join the team. This position is located in our New York, NY office.
Job Overview:
Haymarket US is looking for someone with a unique set of skills. Every day will be a mix of transforming critical business-led data related needs into actionable requirements for a team of data engineers and BI developers, managing a backlog, challenge resolution, prioritization and expert cat herder. Focused on ensuring internal Customers are delighted by excellent collaboration and negotiating skills while acting as a gatekeeper, ensuring that the data services teams can focus and finish. Additionally, they should be proactive in establishing processes for pivoting requirements as needs evolve. This role will be a bridge-builder between the business and Data Services as well as between the different components that make up Data Services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- The ability and experience to lead a meeting and drive an outcome
- Create SOPs between teams to ensure optimal output - this human is positioned to transform how internal teams work together
- Work as a strategic partner with Haymarket business units to define what success looks like and identify/create consistency when possible
- Build consensus and cross-functional workflows to ensure value is clearly delivered in line with internal SLAs
- Partner closely with cross functional Data team to help define manual processes that will ultimately, be automated
- Work with the teams to arrive at standard QA processes and data governance to ensure best practices are established and integrated into workflows
- Accountable for translating business needs into data sets with new data source integrations
- Delight in creating consistency and order through repeatable process
Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
- Digital first thinker with a strong sense of curiosity
- Scrum certification with a flexible approach
- Ability to run a meeting and lead a room is critical
- Experience in the digital health space is preferred
- Experience putting into practice, operational workflows resulting in improvements in efficiency and ultimately margins
- Experience documenting complex data automation requirements
- BA/BS Degree in a relevant field
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills, perseverance and patience
- Ability to multitask, juggle priorities and tackle urgent work when needed
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and thorough work

- The salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, skill level, functional and/or industry knowledge, education level, certifications, as well as other qualifications.
