Team Therapist

Location: Asheville, NC

Team Therapists are a core member of the residents’ recovery team and provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical services to residents that involves residents’ family members or other support person(s) to increase the likelihood of positive clinical outcomes.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday 8 –5 pm
• On-call rotation

Pay: Starting at $55K and based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Works from a relationship-oriented and strength-based approach utilizing evidence-based modalities
• Assists residents with the development and implementation of an individual Seven Domains Recovery Plan, including addressing residents’ psychological, spiritual, relational, addiction, vocational, and familial challenges and growth opportunities
• Meets with residents once a week to support transition planning and progress towards treatment goals
• Provides therapy to residents and includes family members or other support person(s) once per week
• Creates curriculum, implements, facilitates, and documents group psychotherapy
• Completes appropriate assessments
• Collaborates with all direct care staff including clinical coordinators, the psychiatrist, nursing, and residential staff
• Provides clinical consultation and training to non-clinical CooperRiis staff
• Provides crisis support, intervenes to avoid hospitalization
• Participates in the clinical on-call rotation

Qualifications:

• Current NC license as LCSW or LCMHC-Associate License considered
• Masters, PsyD or PhD degree in psychotherapy or counseling
• Minimum 1 year of experience in psychotherapy or other clinical services
• Experience with dual recovery, motivational interviewing, or DBT preferred
