Ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier is an iconic point in the Washington landscape. Throughout the season we have regularly scheduled activities and day trips with transportation provided for associates, including trips to nearby adventures or cities like Seattle to visit Pike Place or catch a Mariners game! Employees with vehicles are only a short 2-hour trip away from exploring many destinations like Portland and Seattle on their own.

Because of our unique location, room and board are provided to associates who do not live in one of our surrounding communities at a very low-cost via payroll deduction. Laundry facilities are provided at each dorm unit at no cost to employees. Employee meals are served in Employee Dining Rooms. We can also accommodate a limited number of RV units. All RV's must be fully self-contained - no camper shells/vans, etc.

Systems (IT) Specialist - Seasonal - $25.00


JOB SUMMARY

The Systems Specialist is responsible for the configuration, installation and maintenance of computers and data communications equipment. The Systems Specialist is also responsible for the installation, configuration and support of desktop/server software systems, troubleshooting and resolving network, software, and hardware problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Respond to and resolve IT related issues and inquiries.
Build and maintain servers located at corporate and unit locations.
Work with hotel units with assistance in finding Guest Wi-Fi providers when necessary.
Set-up and install computer hardware and software including disk, tape, printers, modems, and related peripherals.
Perform maintenance and repairs on computer hardware including backup, recovery and equipment cleaning.
Train users on computer hardware/software and other electronic office equipment.
Monitor operational performance and troubleshoot system problems. Isolate the cause of system failures.
Interact with various outside support and sales organizations.
Research and purchase computer, network and other electronic office equipment hardware/software.
Design, install, support and integrate centralized and distributed network hardware, operating systems and applications.
Handle Help Desk calls.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
College degree in Business Management or Information Science, or equivalent skill gained through experience coupled with 3+ years of experience in systems support and project management.
MCSE certification is a plus.
Understands the issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access, email, etc.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, applications, and related support practices and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people; ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to learn and develop new skills; ability to problem solve.
Ability to work independently, with a significant degree of creativity and latitude.

Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to travel locally to units on an consistent basis in company vehicles.
Ability to sit or stand and use of a computer for the entire workday.
Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees.
Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 15 lbs. occasionally, up to 30 lbs. seldom.
Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects.
