Systems Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain the technical infrastructure of the organization’s mission-critical applications.
  • Understand the technical capabilities of the applications and supporting framework.
  • Work with end-users to understand business priorities and execute the configuration of software to enable supporting processes.
  • Maintain key data elements for the effective use of applications in a secure and highly available architecture.
  • Participate and execute defined internal Change Management process.
  • Work with cross-functional departments to support existing architecture and deployment strategies.
  • Educate and communicate end-users to successfully utilize existing and new technology.
  • Work with end-users to understand system requirements.
  • Communicate end-user requirements within technical teams to determine capabilities and/or new functionality.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a similar IT role.
  • Experience with Windows OS and servers, and Linux OS (Debian and RedHat based) and servers.
  • Active Directory administration.
  • AWS experience is preferred that includes Elasticsearch, EKS, Kubernetes.
  • Azure DevOps experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with the organization’s key software platforms.
  • Must be willing to respond to support calls during nonstandard hours.
  • Knowledge and experience with networking fundamentals.

Skills and knowledge that are a plus:

  • Microservices
  • Automation (Helm, Terraform, Ansible)
  • CI/CD Experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab)
  • VMware
  • Storage
