Title of position: System of Care Across Tennessee (SOCAT) Technical Assistance Coordinator
Location: Davidson County based position - must reside in Middle Tennessee.
Position Summary:
The Technical Assistance Coordinator (TAC) is responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions for the SOCAT Technical Assistance Center and the Office of Children, Young Adults, and Families at-large. The TAC will act as a liaison between TDMHSAS, Office of Children & Youth Mental Health, and contracted agencies for training services, program management tasks, and will facilitate technical and logistical processes. Successful candidates will have practical experience with coordinating events.
Description of duties and responsibilities: Responsible for assisting the Training and Technical Assistance Project Director in coordinating all administrative functions of the SOCAT Technical Assistance Center and Office of Children, Young Adults, and Families, including meeting coordination, training logistics, grants management, etc.
Administrative Role:
· Assists in coordination of logistics of SOCAT Technical Assistance Center
· Responsible for all logistical components of training events, to include but not limited to locating, scheduling, preparing, hosting and/or providing internal/external training as appropriate
· Responsible for creating and distributing weekly System of Care update and other relevant materials (e.g. web-based trainings, training guides, reference materials) as needed
· Conducts research in one or more of the following areas to obtain relevant information: clinical, family-driven, and youth-guided, cultural, and linguistic competence, community resources, fiscal, economic, non-technical legal, legislative, and publications
· Maintain database for program services included in the TA Network
· Performs a variety of general staff administrative duties to support the Office of Children, Young Adults, and Families program operations, to include but not limited to collecting and compiling reports for senior management and/or the department, creating forms as needed, and may compile programmatic and fiscal information to assist in grant development and/or management processes
· Assists in developing policies and procedures for implementing new or modifying existing administrative services programs and activities
· Utilizes appropriate computer programs to accomplish administrative activities such as providing regular team updates, maintaining website training calendar, reviewing referral tracker, creating text documents, graphs, charts, and tables as necessary, scheduling meetings, creating agendas, and completing minutes
· Reviews records and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
· Maintaining supply list and ordering as needed
· Attends agency meetings to keep up to date on agency’s vision, mission, goals, and implementation strategies
· Meets internal and external stakeholder deadlines
· Additional duties, as required
Coordinator Role:
· Assists in ensuring the accuracy and relevance of content for website and social marketing training, including but not limited to webinars, research materials, events, and community resources
· Serves as program technical expert, to include tracking and vetting of content requests, identifying content experts across the state, and maintaining a database of content experts to be included in the TA Network
· Develops and supports collaborative relationships with staff, community groups, and other state agencies
· Commitment to system of care principles and to working effectively as a part of a team
· Additional duties, as required
Qualifications for position:
· Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
· Experience equivalent to five years of increasingly responsible full-time professional staff administrative experience, including one year that involved monitoring, evaluating, planning, or coordinating program activities
· Experience with database management and support from an administrative perspective is strongly preferred
· Non-profit organization experience, event coordination, public speaking experience, and work history within child serving systems strongly preferred
· Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub professional, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.
· Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in public administration or other acceptable field may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years; OR two years of increasingly responsible administration services experiences with the State of Tennessee.
Supervisory relationships: Supervised by SOCAT Director
Skills and knowledge required: Ability to research, learn about and gather resources for children, youth, and young adults with mental health challenges, including those with experience with the juvenile justice, education, and other child-serving systems. Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, problem-solving/creative thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently. Effective computer and writing skills. Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment. Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping. Commitment to ongoing learning.

Amount of travel and any other special conditions or requirements: Applicant must be willing to travel locally, regionally and statewide to meet specific job requirements. Moderate amount of travel is anticipated for this job.
Salary range: $2,769-$4,431 monthly
Hours per day or week: 37.5 per week
