System Administrator II Job at Five Star Call Centers
We are looking to add to our IT team as our company continues to grow. An ideal candidate would be an individual who does well in a fast-paced environment and can work independently to manage system related projects and upgrades but can also collaborate and bring forward new ideas and solutions. This person would work closely with our Director of IT to manage Five Star Call Center’s systems to meet company standards in security, advancements, compliance and reliability. As part of that process, they would be tasked with the general upkeep of the network to eliminate risk through implementing patches, updates and addressing vulnerabilities. Ideally, this individual would have experience with security audits and a good understanding of best security practices.
This position starts training in the Sioux Falls, SD office and then moves to a work-at-home for individuals living in the state of South Dakota.
Position Responsibilities
- Upgrading, maintaining, and troubleshooting basic networking equipment and issues including switches, routers, and firewalls
- ESXi and Hyper-V host setups and maintenance
- Supporting and troubleshooting workstations running Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
- Managing client software and phone setups running on a variety of platforms and configurations
- Configuring, imaging, and setting up new workstations including managing work at home virtual setups on the VMWare Horizon View platform
- Monitoring and managing antivirus software and alerts
- SharePoint administration and permissions
- Administrating our IDS/SIEM platform AlienVault for security alerts and logging events
- Reviewing and approving patches, upgrades, and third-party software
- Supporting the phone network and assisting the telecommunications team where necessary
- Working helpdesk tickets containing requests for troubleshooting issues, software installs, user management and client requests
- Assists the IT Director with Security, Compliance, and audits including PCI DSS, HIPPA, and SOC2
- Perform other duties as assigned, management reserves the right to assign or reassign functions and responsibilities to this job description at any time.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 8+ years of professional IT experience
- Experience managing VMWare/ESXI Hosts
- Experience managing Group Policies
- Experience with Azure/Intune a plus
- Workstation administration with Windows 8.1/10
- Working knowledge of SharePoint
- Experience working with IDS/SIEM platforms is a plus
- Technical acumen
