Summary
Supporting the day to day IT Infrastructure Operation that the Byram IT Services rely upon. These technologies include; Servers; Databases, Networks, Telephony, Internet, Intranet, Virtualization, Active Directory, Reporting, Electronic communications, and other IT systems and services as directed. Additionally, support the Service Desk Operations. Implement new systems and services as directed, and be an active participation in IT Projects when directed.
Job Duties
- Supporting the daily operations of the firm’s core systems infrastructure (Windows Servers, ESX/vSphere, SAN, Networking, UNIX) and maintaining that infrastructure with special focus on availability, security and reliability
- Evaluating, recommending, and designing systems in collaboration with other senior IT Management team to improve operational processes
- Acting as a technical lead to implement and manage multiple concurrent planned and ad-hoc projects
- Act as owner of IT systems as directed by IT Management
- Working with third party vendors in connection with infrastructure projects and operational issues
- Monitoring and testing the performance of applications to identify potential bottlenecks and possible solutions
- Working with other team members to implement new systems and application fixes
- Serving as an escalation point for Level 2 operational support for end users and IT Service Desk staff
