Senior field manager position within Columbia County Highway & Transportation; responsibilities include but are not limited to, assist Commissioner with maintaining equipment, buildings, grounds, bridges, culverts, roads, safety devices, signage, and road right-of-way on the State, County, and Town road systems within the county; including, interstate. WEEKEND AND NIGHT ON CALL position, assisting other managers and superintendents in the oversight of the day-to-day operation of the department. Qualifications: A minimum of five years of experience in planning, designing, maintaining, or supervising field construction and inspection of highways, bridges, culverts, signage; OR A combination of field experience and vocational or technical school background in Civil Technology or related field, and a minimum of two years responsible highway maintenance and/or highway construction experience. Computer knowledge and skills essential as well as dispatch supervision and public outreach coordination would be beneficial. Wisconsin Class A Commercial Driver’s License with H and N endorsement. Salary: $66,179.36 – $75,641.28. Columbia County also offers a temporary COVID-19 premium payment of $100 per month.
