Job Summary
The Stewardship and Annual Fund Manager is responsible for the management and execution of Hospice of the Northwest Foundation donor stewardship and annual giving programs. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Stewardship and Annual Fund Manager will play a vital role in growing the philanthropic revenue for the Foundation. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and willing to take complete ownership of critical duties. Salary Range: $31.77/hr to $47.66/hr DOE Skagit Regional Health offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 457b/401a (retirement), long term disability, sick time, and paid time off to all employees working 20 or more hours per week.

Essential Functions
Meeting or exceeding the annual fund fundraising goals; acknowledging, stewarding and growing annual fund contributions Developing and successfully implementing all organization special events; representing the organization to donors, vendors, and the public; producing various fundraising-related collateral. Responsible for the management and implementation of the Foundation’s Annual Giving program (direct mail, in-kind donations, workplace giving, events and online giving). Maintaining the donor database; and managing volunteers and development staff. Create and maintain a donor recognition program for individuals who give annual gifts in the $1,000 - $19,999 range. Identify potential mid-level and major and make recommendations for upgrading them. Design and implement a moves-management system that would increase the overall level of giving and create donor analytic reports, as needed. Work with Executive Director to establish long term goals and objectives, to strategize annual campaign, and all other fundraising efforts. Cultivate and steward gifts from individuals by maintaining frequent contact with current major donors and developing new relationships with prospects. Coordinate cultivation and stewardship meetings with major donors for Executive Director and Foundation Board leadership. In partnership with the Executive Director, develop and implement a grateful patient giving program including cultivation, engagement, and events and giving. Oversee special stewardship projects. Manage the Ports of Call Committee. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, managing people and budgets, and an ability to work in a hands-on environment. Ability to appropriately handle confidential matters and information. Ability to participate in cross-agency projects, using tact and diplomacy. Assist in the creation of external content and collateral for the Development department, including but not limited to appeals, newsletters, social media, website, and invitations. Act as a spokesperson for the organization as needed to bring in funding, volunteers, etc. Comply with all Skagit Regional Health, department and location specific policies and procedures.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Non Profit Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field is required.

Experience/Training
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in development. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirement.

License/Certification
None.

Other Qualifications
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to write clear and persuasive proposals. Excellent time management skills and a high degree of organization, careful attention to detail, ability to multitask and to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines. Familiarity with HNW service area and surrounding communities preferred. Ability to work on selected weekdays, nights and weekend evenings as required. Computer literacy and knowledge of Donor Perfect and other fundraising software packages is highly desirable. Well-disciplined, self-motivated and goal-driven; able to work with a high degree of independence as well as part of a team. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to effectively identify, analyze and solve problems. Knowledge of general nonprofit best practices and IRS guidelines regarding contributions to non-profit corporations and 501(c)(3) corporate structure.
