Work Site: Hybrid remote work schedule negotiable
The position will be located on the Stockbridge-Munsee Reservation near Bowler, Wisconsin. After the orientation period, attorney may work remotely for up to 50% of the work hours in each month depending on operational needs of the office.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES
The Stockbridge-Munsee Community is seeking a tribal staff attorney. This attorney will provide a wide range of legal services for the Community with an emphasis on contract review and drafting for tribal government departments and tribal business entities and legal research. This attorney will also work with Employment Law issues, and collections/garnishments with occasional court appearances as required.
STANDARD DUTIES:
- Advise and represent the Tribal Government, Tribal Administration, Tribal Programs and Tribal Businesses in dealings with federal, state and local governments and agencies.
- Provide contract review and drafting, work on special projects, and conduct legal research.
- Advising the HR Department on various employment law issues.
- Prepare collections and garnishments for court.
- Occasional court appearances as required.
- Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
- Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
- Must attend job related, in-service, meetings, and training to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
- Must adhere to tribal law and other applicable laws as well as tribal personnel policies and procedures.
