Twin Peaks Testing Labs is continuing to grow its Accounting – unit and is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join our NYC – LIC team. The staff accountant will be working with the accounting team to bill & invoice clients.

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Creation of accurate client invoices in compliance with contract terms and accounting schedule.
• Assist the accounting manager and project managers regarding project financial status.
• Ensuring that project accounting files are appropriately filed and have the required back up documentation.
• Work closely with / collaborate with the project managers to resolve outstanding invoicing issues.
• Assist with certified payrolls and payment forms for customers
• Perform Accounts Payable functions, payable procedures may include:
• Review and assist in processing Accounts Payable transactions.
• Account for Seminars & Conferences for both in-house and external events.
• Assist with approval of employee expenses
• Assist with payroll processing

Qualifications

• 2-year Associates Degree in Business or Accounting or combination of education and relevant experience. 4-year bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years accounting experience
• Highly proficient with MS Office applications and Quickbooks
• Must be self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Requires personable and professional face-to-face, telephone and email communications.
• Ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information and work with a broad range of individuals throughout the company.
• Quicken experience and accounting experience in an A/E/C industry is a plus.
• Maintain and coordinate updated data in the company systems.
• Interface with people both inside and outside the firm to fulfill job duties and responsibilities.
• Work cooperatively with diverse teams.
