ROLE OVERVIEW
Our Accounting team is looking for Corporate Staff Accountant II with a high attention to detail, strong organizational and Excel skills, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will participate in the month-end close process, preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing invoices for fixed asset eligibility and classification, and supporting ad-hoc projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
- Preparing journal entries, flux/variance analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations during month end close process
- Reviewing invoices coded to CIP to determine fixed asset eligibility and classification
- Assist in implementing and documenting accounting procedures
- Answer financial and accounting questions by researching and interpreting data
- Assist with annual internal and external audits including preparation of required schedules, providing requested backup
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
- Other projects as necessary
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1+ years of accounting experience, accounting within a publicly traded company or public accounting preferred
- Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Adaptability, responsiveness to change, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
