Staff Accountant:

Preferred Experience in SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility) Accounting

The Staff Accountant is responsible for processing and inputting accounting information and generates reports while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards.

• Processes and inputs accounting information on computer and generates required reports.
• Accurately compiles, processes and inputs information on computer to update company general ledgers and prepares financial statements and other duties as needed as part of month end close.
• Verifies and reconciles account balances on a monthly basis.
• Maintains fixed asset records for assigned facilities.
• Participates in Accounts Payable process.
• Files bank statements, source documents, and reports.
• Assists in preparation of required government filings.
• Prepares budget files for assigned facilities.
• Assists in preparation of the audit.
• Prepares daily deposits.
• Participates in payroll process.
• Personifies outstanding customer service to co-workers, clients and vendors by acting as a subject matter resource in a timely, considerate and friendly manner, always maintaining the “Golden Rule” approach; practices patience and kindness.

Required Education: High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)

Preferred Education: Associate’s degree from 2- year college or technical school

Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in accounting
