Element has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Project Engineer to join our team! This person will be one of our most experienced members of our Operations team. This team member will provide support for networks, upgrades, migrations, firewall/internet implementations, hardware and software upgrades and more to our client companies. The Sr. Project Engineer is considered a leader and has experience in project work in addition to on-boarding new clients and supporting standard server or desktop setups.

General job duties include:

• Work with Project Manager to schedule client project work
• Ensure all project work scheduled is communicated with both client and CST team
• Review existing outstanding tickets and schedule time to resolve based on client needs
• Follow up and assist with any escalated tickets for resolution
• Complete proactive review of clients for updates, backups, and other possible issues
• Work with CST to identify areas to improve client network uptime and efficiency
• Help promote and encourage attendance to marketing and training events by Element
• Review CST client list to see where available time can be added for proactive work
• Assist with updating 3-year plans and TBR materials for client meetings
• Complete regular training and continuing education to improve technical knowledge
• Weekly On Call Rotation will be scheduled for a week of afterhours emergency support

Required Qualifications:

• Two or four year technical degree
• 5 + years of recent relevant support experience
• Excellent phone etiquette
• Strong oral and written communication
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong knowledge and experience with network architecture and topology.
• Must be very detail-oriented
• Azure AD Experience
• Server, SAN, switch and firewall implementation experience
• VMware or other virtual platform experience
• Experience in customer relationship and exceeding expectations
• MS office, MS windows and server knowledge as well as many MS platforms
• Working Experience and knowledge on how to find info in ITGlue is a plus
• Working knowledge on N-able / N-central RMM tool is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of current market trends in hardware and software
• Strong deductive reasoning and rapid problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Good business acumen
• Strong desire and willingness to stay current with certifications
• Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and professional environment
