This position reconciles and analyzes payroll data to ensure accurate and timely payroll. Responsibilities for the Sr Payroll Analyst include but are not limited to, accurate & timely calculation of payroll, maintaining data integrity on all payroll disbursements with banking institutions, ownership of payroll costing & reconciliation, and reconciling quarterly/annual payroll tax filings & W2s. The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical problem-solver with ability to prioritize tasks and apply knowledge to ensure that daily payroll operations are running effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Process & reconcile regular, quarterly, and off cycle payrolls. Analyze the calculation of wages, bonuses, and payroll deductions to ensure compliance with federal, state & local laws.
• Manage time and attendance and other third party outbound and inbound files. Perform time and attendance system configuration, administration, support, and maintenance.
• Serve as liaison to the finance/accounting departments for month-end cost accounting, reconciliation, and analysis. Produce payroll internal and external audit related requests.
• Analyze and support quarterly and year-end payroll taxes & W2 processes.
• Research, analyze and resolve payroll-related issues. Establish and maintain working relationship with HR partners.
• Research and analyze payroll-related regulation changes and practices. Recommend new policies/procedures to ensure compliance and support continuous process improvement efforts. May create OTBI reports in support of payroll processes and data.
• Partner with HRIS for support with the design, development, testing and troubleshooting of payroll systems and integrations. May support Request for Proposals (RFPs) as necessary.
• Support the integration of newly acquired companies & due diligence for M&A activities.
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of Payroll, HRIS or related experience
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus
• Advanced knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
• Self-motivated and self-directed with strong work ethic
• Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and confidentiality
• Excellent time management skills due to tight time constraints and short deadlines exist regarding payroll cycles, quarterly/annual tax filings and month-end close
• Ability to interface with multiple departments throughout the organization and outside service providers
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing
• Prefer experience with Oracle Payroll
• Prefer experience ADP/Kronos Time & Attendance
