Daily responsibilities for a Sr. Optical Technician

• Perform blocking, grinding, beveling and polishing of various crystals and optical materials.
• Operate and maintain grinding and measurement equipment
• Daily interaction with supervisor to provide completion date for all jobs
• Maintain traceability of all data for process control

Requirements for the ideal candidate

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a high volume atmosphere of manufacturing crystals and optics.
• Knowledge should include the use of measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, interferometers, and auto-collimators.
• Must be able to read and review blue prints
• Must be able to inspect small parts using a microscope
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, organize and prioritize work load
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
