Centr is a HighPost Capital portfolio company under the leadership of David Moross and Mark Bezos. HighPost Capital, LLC (“HighPost”) is a private investment firm focused on the global consumer sector.
We are looking for a creative Senior Mechanical Engineer to help design and build various fitness strength machines and accessories. You will work on all product stages from research and development to design and manufacturing, keeping the project on a strict timeline. In addition to several years of experience under your belt, you should also have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Time spent in a management position is also beneficial.
Position Responsibilities:
● Design and detail new products in 3D CAD (SolidWorks), from proof of concept to production of fitness equipment.
● Perform stress analysis (FEA), to ensure design has satisfactory safety factors in ultimate, yield and fatigue.
● Design lab procedures and reports for testing newly designed equipment.
● Develop and tested models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications, and necessity of modification.
● Document products and processes using SolidWorks to document release notes and designs.
● Create preliminary user instructions and work with marketing to make a finished UM.
● Perform tolerance analysis to support success in high-volume manufacturing.
● Be a mentor to junior engineers.
● Create drawings with dimensioning and GD&T to ensure form, fit and function at the component and system level. Create and manage new product BOM.
● Test feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components, and systems.
● Work closely with procurement, suppliers, and manufacturing during all phases of development to optimize design for cost, performance, manufacturability, service, and reliability
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
● Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and work experience.
● 5+ years SolidWorks modeling experience and PDM.
● Knowledge of engineering principles and drafting procedures.
● Familiar with welded structures and processes.
● Knowledge of injection molded parts.
● Basic knowledge of electrical components and properties.
● Ability to take verbal direction and work task through completion.
Desired Qualifications:
● Possess or have the ability to obtain a passport.
● Ability to speak Chinese is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
