Special Education Teacher - Part-Time
Schedule: Part-Time as needed, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm
Help children with special needs continue their education in a healthful and therapeutic environment.
When a special education teacher is absent, you will carry out guidance to children with disabilities in a classroom setting. Work as a team player with staff and assistant teachers in the Elizabeth Lee Black School, Nationally designated “School of Excellence” for 14 years and approved private school, that offers a range of educational program choices designed to help all children achieve their potential.
Special Education Teacher - Part-Time responsibilities include providing meaningful instruction while regular teacher is absent, maintaining a safe and orderly classroom, implementing regular routines, objectives and procedures, reporting issues and performing other duties as assigned by administration.
Qualifications for Special Education Teacher - Part Time:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education
- PA Special Education Certification required;
- SpEd PK-12 preferred or SpEd PK-8 with willingness to obtain special education secondary add-on
- Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
- FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements
