1. Supplier Management

a. Leads sourcing/procurement opportunities for new materials and suppliers

b. Prepare contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for price and acceptability of items to specifications

c. Conducts supplier price evaluations to assure that TMC is procuring competitively.

d. Monitors each supplier’s overall delivery, material quality, and price performance to assure they meet negotiated agreements

e. Assists with trials and sourcing activities supporting marketing and new product

f. Advise suppliers of forecast to ensure timely delivery of materials for production

2. Customer Interface

a. Discuss orders with customers to gain all necessary information to fulfill the order.

b. Align with customers on proposed new supplies that will be conducive to their products by presenting best cost and quality options.

3. Inventory

a. Perform daily activities including, but not limited to, purchase order issues, backorder management, substitutions, open orders, invoice mis-matches, etc.

b. Develops and recommends inventory level objectives which will guide daily purchasing performance

c. Selling tooling and other excess inventory via E-bay and other resell sites

4. Continuous Improvement

a. Document practices and activities to build histories and determine best practices.

b. Provide information, idea and suggestions to solve problems, improve products or services, identify concerns, etc.

c. Participate on problem solving teams as assigned.

d. Conduct cost analysis studies as assigned.

5. Participation and Development

a. Participate on the Manufacturing Development Team by providing information, ideas and suggestions to solve problems, improve products or services, identify concerns, etc.

b. Attend team meetings as required.

c. Participate on cross-functional teams or ad hoc problem-solving teams as assigned.

d. Maintain knowledge and improve knowledge and skills by investigating, reading, attending training, etc.

e. Discuss quality issues with Quality Team Members, Production Managers, or Coordinators/Managers, as required.

f. Refer unresolved problems or concerns to the General Manager.

g. Understand and follow all safety rules and standard operating procedures.

h. Maintain good internal and external customer relations through helpful and courteous interactions.

i. Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a neat, clean and safe work environment.

j. Contribute to the production of a quality product by performing all work according to directions and as efficiently as possible and making suggestions to improve the product and/or processes.

k. Provide input into the continuous improvement of products and processes to provide the highest quality product and best service to external customers.
