Responsibilities:
The engineer will be responsible for developing: 1) embedded firmware for Westar products, and 2) PC-based VB.net software for applications that allow customers to configure Westar products for the customer’s unique application. In addition, the engineer will create appropriate internal design documentation and external user’s manuals to support long-term maintenance of the code and successful customer use of the applications.

Qualifications:
BS 0-2 Years or HS 6-8
B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Skills and Experience:
- BSEE or equivalent, 0-2 years experience
- Expertise in: C, VB.net
- Experience in various microcontrollers and their integrated development environments, including ARM Cortex variants
- FreeRTOS (Real-time OS)
- Hands-on electronics development experience, including use of power supplies, DMM, o-scope, etc
Additional Desired Skills/Knowledge
- Familiarity with MCU’s, FPGA’s (Altera Quartus), I2C, SPI-bus, JTAG, and other serial interfaces
- Familiarity with implementing embedded network interfaces
- Video knowledge a plus, including HDMI, DisplayPort, STANAG, etc
- Clear communicator
- Proficient at Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- No clearance required

Salary Range: Salary Minimum: $40,000 Salary Mid: $80,000 Salary Maximum: $100,000 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
