In short, a digital guru—you eat, sleep, and dream about strategies, content, measurement, and client online success! The Social Media Specialist is tasked with providing a forward-thinking, high-level strategy for social media and digital marketing for Small Giants and our numerous clients. This position requires someone who is proactive and analytical with the ability to publish a constant flow of content through all social media platforms in a strategic manner. The strongest candidates are coordinated, creative, proactive digital marketers with over a year of editing and social media experience. This person is critical in driving an increase in social engagement, follower growth, positive brand perception, reporting, cross-department collaboration, and providing a best-in-class experience that reflects each client's brand voice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stay current with best practices, strategies, and industry trends to provide innovative solutions
- Use tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc. to export and analyze data for quarterly reporting and performance tracking with analytics
- Create detailed content calendars for each platform, but not limited to: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Instagram
- Plan, edit, and publish daily content that engages the audience, encourage them to take action, and fosters a community
- Create content that aligns with social media strategy and content calendar
- Optimize existing company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of social and website content
- Identify new opportunities to drive results and improve performance
- Ensure the brand stays relevant and active within trending topics
- Utilize scheduling platform and social monitoring tools to continue to optimize performance
- Analyze social metrics and develop actionable feedback to continue growing Item 9 Labs presence online
- Evaluate and deliver reporting on key initiatives with an ROI based approach
- Establish and manage content creator/influencer/affiliate programs
- Be in attendance of any company events, activities, and demos as necessary to post on social media
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business, data analytics, or a related field
- 3+ years of social media experience creating the strategy, content calendars, execution, and reporting/analytics of results
- The desire to be in a fast-paced B2B environment, interacting with clients on a daily basis
- Industry and agency experience a plus but not required
