Position Overview

The Social Media Coordinator (SMC) is a full-time position that supports the marketing team in executing B2C strategies across all digital media and social channels. The SMC will be responsible for creating and organizing original content, imagery, and messaging, provide responsive and engaging customer interactions, build, and execute campaigns, support influencer programming, create paid social advertising strategies, analyze social analytics, and provide recommendations for improvement. The SMC will work collaboratively within all areas of marketing with a heavy focus on social media.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize and implement digital and social media initiatives to support company goals
  • Develop, edit, and publish engaging content calendars with original photography, video, captions, associated blogs and creative graphics (we use Canva, Hootsuite, and Trello)
  • Engage with customers on all social channels in an authentic brand voice - like, comment, save, answer questions, etc.
  • Monitor and pro-actively increase social traffic, growth, and engagement performance across all channels
  • Build paid social experiences – specifically optimizing CPC’s, lead generation and audience retargeting
  • Seek opportunities to build efficiency and automations in social processes
  • Build social KPIs and monthly reporting with recommendations for improvement, present recap to Sales and Marketing teams
  • Assist with creating website blogs, and subscriber communications - newsletters, emails, etc.
  • Assist in facilitating revenue driving relationships through influencer platforms – Grin
  • Continuously research and translate ideas and trends to support backyard chicken movement
  • Foster a forever learning mentality and environment to learn about regenerative agriculture, healthy eating, animal welfare, and feed and farm industries.

Education, Experience, Skills

  • B.A. in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, and/or Public Relations, or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years’ work experience in social media and PR
  • Broad usage and understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Facebook Business Manager & Creator Studio, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
  • Technically savvy in graphics, photo, and video editing platforms such as Canva, Adobe, Capcut, etc.
  • Excellent verbal communication and copywriting skills with attention to detail
  • Content creation and management, strong organizational skills * Dedicated, dependable, and professional team player
  • Outgoing, motivated, outside the box thinker
  • Comfortable in front of the camera, in farm settings and handling animals

Schedule, Salary & Benefits

Full-time, hybrid remote, weekday schedule. Starting wage is dependent on skills and experience. Benefits for full time employees include paid healthcare, 401k match, ongoing professional development, volunteer PTO, monthly product allotment, and much more!
