Charter House Innovations (CHi) is a leading design firm and manufacturer of seating and décor for the quick service restaurant, hospitality, and cinema industries. CHi has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Clerk to join our team.

Responsibilities of a Shipping Clerk at CHi includes:

• Reviewing project quotes to determine quantity and type of transportation needed.
• Receives timely quotes from carriers for Project Management and Customer Service departments at CHi.
• Contacts carriers to make arrangements for shipping product for on-time deliveries.
• Informs loading crew when transportation will be available and when product ships.
• Verifies that the most recent load list is used and no changes have been made.
• Once product has shipped, checks delivery status and informs other departments of delivery dates and times to insure that the job site is contacted 24 hours prior to delivery.
• Communicates with Production and Project Management when there is a back order on a shipment.
• Maintains shipping and delivery schedule based on the requirements of when the product must be on-site. Delivery dates will determine the due/ship dates on the project schedule and production schedule.
• Coordinates return of products for warranty issues or cancellations.
• Performs other clerical tasks as needed.

The ideal Shipping Clerk will possess excellent communication, problem solving, and time management skills with proficiency in Office 365. An Associate's Degree in Business Administration and/or at least two years experience in a Shipping Department is preferred.
