Purpose:

To demonstrate various material handling capabilities, ship and receive all raw materials, transport inventory and store all product in a safe efficient manner consistent with all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Housekeeping:

All areas assigned to the distribution department are to be kept clean as outlined in the cleaning schedule and housekeeping procedures.

Shipper Responsibilities (using all ISO9001 instructions):

Responsible for receiving inspection of raw materials and packaging.

All trucks to be loaded and unloaded only after using dock locks or wheel chocks. Trailers must be inspected as

per the trailer inspection procedure.

Loading the trailer -- load product in such a manner to assure that cartons and product are not damaged while loading.

Ability to load and unload trailers using vendors bill of ladings an/or pick list. Quantity, product identification,

and condition of product must match that of the bill of lading and/or pick list.

Perform loading and unloading in a safe efficient manner following all company rules, regulations and

procedures.

Warehouse and Inventory Control Responsibilities (using all ISO9001 instructions):

Product information regarding date produced must be recorded for each shipment made.

All raw materials and finished product are assigned storage areas. When putting away, product will be stored with the oldest to the front of rows and new product to the rear. When pulling product from inventory, shipper will use the first in, first out rule (FIFO).

Cycle count per ISO9001.

Scanning of product In and Out of plant and warehouse.

Scanning raw materials In and Out of plant and warehouse.

Responsible for reporting food packaging safety problems to plant management.

In the incumbents absence these responsibilities will be transferred to another Shipper.

Must be trained in and follow company policies on GMP, sanitation, pre-requisite programs, chemical control and food safety plans and policies.

Must be competent to carry out food packaging safety and quality responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
