Shift Manager/Assistant Manager Job at Quiznos Yelm
Quiznos Yelm is looking to hire experienced employees to lead our team members and create a culture of success for the staff, our store, and our customers.
Quiznos Shift Managers are in charge of the overall operations during a shift to make sure that food handling and product preparation follows the company’s standard operating procedure. Also included in their duties are implementing food safety, maintaining cleanliness, and performing inventory control both on the supplies as well as the equipment owned by the store. Shift Managers must also be able to efficiently schedule every staff’s work shift to avoid confusion and ensure that the overall operation of the store will run smoothly. Shift managers also train newly hired personnel and they also have to perform some of the basic responsibilities of the store manager.
Shift managers have the responsibility to open and or close the store and must be 18 years of age or older. Must possess a valid driver's license and the vehicle to fill in for deliveries in an emergency.
Must have the Food handler health card. Paid online education hours are available for Safe Serve Manager training and certification if the new hire does not have it already.
To fulfill this position a Shift Manager must have or learn all the skills that a Quiznos team member is required to have, these include: Prepping products, Making Subs, Stocking, Dishwashing, Delivery, Cleaning Equipment, Cashiering, Customer service, etc.
Experience in a sub sandwich shop or similar experience is a plus. But it is not required. Promotion to Assistant Manager is available for the right candidate.
