Service Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional, solutions-oriented service to independent financial advisors and overseeing timely execution of operational and service requests. This includes developing a thorough understanding of operations and custodian processes and articulating the Buckingham Service Partners offering. The Service Manager is part of a dynamic team, and the role requires close teamwork and daily collaboration with teammates.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable service by telephone and e-mail with financial advisors
- Collaborate with internal partners to research and respond to inquiries and/or services issues
- Anticipate client issues and proactively resolve while effectively coordinating with other departments
- Manage heavy inbound and email phone volumes
- Advocate the advisor’s needs with internal departments and our custodian partners
- Serve as the primary liaison with our Custodians (Schwab, Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, and Pershing)
- Educate advisors on Buckingham Strategic Partners offering, custodian, and industry best practices
- Effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines and service level agreements
- Take initiative to continuously develop skills and industry knowledge to enhance advisor interactions
- Other duties and projects will be assigned as needed
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years in the financial services industry, specifically in RIA industry
Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s degree from and accredited college; or 7 + years of equivalent work experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Desire to take ownership and provide the best customer service in the industry
- Energetic self-starter with an extremely positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as with teams with diverse personalities
- Must work well in a collaborative team environment, supporting others and filling in as necessary, including across locations
- Excellent active listening, personal organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a dynamic work environment
- Must manage time effectively and be able to prioritize and switch tasks to meet deadlines
- Client focused attitude with the ability to quickly assess and resolve escalated issues
- Extensive knowledge of industry back office practices, including custodians (Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing, and TD Ameritrade)
- Proven ability to work creatively and effectively solve escalated service issues
- Comfortable with web-based applications

This is a salaried position with an opportunity for an annual bonus and long-term incentives as well as a competitive benefits package and potential to purchase firm equity.
