Job Title : Server Administrator
Job Function: Install, manage, and optimize the company's servers and related components to achieve high performance of various business applications by tuning the servers as needed. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring all new deployments, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment. When appropriate, the server administrator will help monitor the physical safety, integrity, and security of the data center/server farm.

Scope of Job

RCM is looking for a Server Administrator for our local Health Care Services client in Puerto Rico.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participates in key process improvements related to server and storage environment.
• Collaborates with network, business application, and database administrators to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of corporate servers to meet business demands.
• Implements policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure server security.
• Resolves incidents related to server environments, prioritizes and responds to service desk tickets as appropriate.
• Serves as a cornerstone for escalating server issues; provide a timely response to customer escalations.
• Perform file system configuration and administration, define and perform server backup and recovery procedures.
• Plans and implements updates on servers, maintenance and patches supplied by the provider.
• Monitors and evaluates system performance and provides performance statistics and reports.
• Create "Power Shell scripts as needed.
• Manages Active Directory services and supporting server infrastructure
• Defines and implements strategies to avoid obsolescence in operating systems and platforms.

• Must be detail-oriented, accurate and well organized.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and organizational are required.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and established response times is essential.
• Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with other professionals in order to provide support and resolve issues is a must.
• Must be able to remain flexible with changes in priorities for various task and project assignments.

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  or Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing information systems
• Meet at least one (1) of the following requirements:
  • Network+
  • Microsoft MCSA
  • VCP-DCV 2021
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator
