THE POSITION

Protos Security is seeking a Senior Vice President of Sales, who will continue to execute Protos’ sales strategy for the Company's rapidly growing suite of services, including: security guard management, off-duty law enforcement, remote video guarding, and it’s Enterprise SaaS product. This individual will continue to transform the sales organization into a high-performing team that drives top-line revenue growth through new customer acquisition, new vertical market development, penetrating white space in existing accounts through cross-selling, and existing account management/growth.

Reporting to the CRO, this executive will be a key member of the leadership team and will be tasked with driving the strategic organic growth of the company. A player-coach, this individual is equally comfortable driving results through the sales team and internal cross-functional collaboration, as they are in a consultative client-facing role. The SVP of Sales will embrace a solutions-based sales approach, positioning the sales team as knowledgeable customer advisors.

The successful candidate for SVP of Sales will present with an impressive record of sales growth, and bring with them expertise in transforming, restructuring, and reinvigorating teams through recruitment and development of comprehensive training programs. The SVP of Sales will be tasked with creating tools and systems to support sales staff in achieving and surpassing KPI’s. The successful candidate will have experience building sales operations and creating critical infrastructure to support sales during periods of rapid growth.

The SVP of Sales will have experience selling in the physical security marketplace and will have an established network of relationships with critical decision makers at client and prospective client companies, and will understand how to distinguish Protos from traditional market competitors and articulate clearly the value proposition of Protos’ suite of services.

Additional Responsibilities Include

  • Lead teams in selling across multiple service lines.
  • In collaboration with the leadership team, develop and implement compelling and cohesive sales, marketing, and go-to-market strategies across Protos’ suite of offerings, driving aggressive revenue growth objectives.
  • As a player-coach, serve in a client-facing role as appropriate, establishing and building strong, trust-based relationships with the main decision makers in those organizations.
  • Play a leadership role in strategy development, due diligence and post-acquisition integration of newly acquired companies, specifically focused on the smooth integration of sales teams and go-to-market approach with product/service offerings.
  • Provide ongoing strategic guidance on customer segmentation, coverage models, sales methodologies and process.
  • Design, implement, and manage sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes that maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency, including appropriate integration with other planning processes across the organization.
  • Share market intelligence, strategy, and tactics with enterprise sales leadership groups.
  • Lead, develop, train and mentor high performing teams in each function, while building processes to support development and career progression of internal talent.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Competencies, Experience, and Education

The successful candidate should present with the following:

Sales Leadership

  • 10+ years leading sales for an $80+ million organization or $100+ million territory at a larger organization.
  • Experience leveraging a consultative and solutions-based sales approach to support long-term client relationships.
  • Managed growth for multiple business units with teams of 10+ sales professionals.
  • Demonstrated comfort in a hands-on “player-coach” leadership role, with track record of cultivating positive relationships with client senior leadership and key decisions makers.
  • Track record of collaborating with other functional leaders to develop cross-company alignment on mission, thereby ensuring established sales metrics support broader company objectives.

Physical Security Market Knowledge

  • 5+ years within physical security services or technology/SaaS. Can quickly get up to speed on Protos’ products and offerings to continuously refine the value proposition communicated to the marketplace.
  • Depth of understanding of the operational aspects of the physical, remote, and SaaS security business.

Growth Management

  • Led a company from a starting point of at least $80M revenue through 30%+ year-over-year organic revenue growth for at least 3 consecutive years.
  • Successful track-record of organic growth through a combination of the following: development of both new and existing clients in existing markets, extension into new verticals, launch of new offerings, and cross-selling products/services.
  • Led the successful integration of at least 2 significant acquisitions, structuring, aligning, and managing the combined sales teams and service/product offerings.

Data and Technology Orientation

  • Strong data orientation, promoting the use of data to enhance planning, decision making, and communication across the sales organization.
  • Strong financial acumen, demonstrated by the ability to tie sales and marketing initiatives directly to financial results.
  • Champions the advancements and utilization of technology to support sales and growth efforts. Knowledge of leading sales tools and technologies and experience evaluating, implementing, and troubleshooting these technologies to make efficient decisions around resources.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Technical discipline, or related field required;
  • MBA preferred. Work experience will be considered.
