We have a role for you if

• have worked with Product Management and other engineers to design, develop, test, release and iterate on new customer facing SaaS features and products.
• can nurture, refactor, and expand our systems to handle new, varied data models, while maintaining sensible code abstractions and improving the efficiency of our operations
• have Python, Django or Flask, and Javascript/typescript experience in a production environment
• drive down total time taken for processing (code optimization and refactoring), deployment (smoother CI/CD pipelines), and other SLAs (delivery to clients via our infrastructure)
• Improve our tooling for monitoring the health and efficiency of our systems
• Write documentation and run-books to enable your team to be force multipliers for each other
• Apply your honesty, strong sense of morals and ethics, and sense of responsibility towards making Flashpoint and those around you smarter, stronger, and kinder

What you will get to do on our team

• Work with intelligence analysts to identify important trends from the threat landscape
• You will help build and maintain our platform; constantly adding new data sources, analytics, and interface enhancements as our company grows
• You will drive architectural best practices and process improvement
• You will make your voice heard in the product development process and actively participate in code reviews, ensuring your code is properly tested
• You will support the development process and your team members by documenting your projects thoroughly to make them maintainable by others
• You will help bring in new technologies and develop innovative approaches to the challenges we face, by participating in a collaborative engineering environment

What you will achieve
Within 30 days

• You will have learned our processes and procedures, building individual components that contribute to the broader organization
• You will be actively contributing to individual and team development projects

Within 60 days

• You will have intimate working knowledge and a direct impact on current tool roadmaps and sprints
• You will have nurtured, refactored, and expanded our systems to handle new, varied features while maintaining sensible code abstractions and improving the efficiency of our operations

By 90 days

• You will be conducting code reviews with team members, supporting junior developers, and coding to company standards

To be successful in this role, you will need

• Experience leading development of production systems or other relevant experience
• Expertise in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience using Docker or Kubernetes for development and deployment
• Experience with continuous integration frameworks like Gitlab-ci, Travis, or Jenkins
• Experience with testing frameworks like Pytest, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Enzyme or Nightmare
• Experience working with streaming pipelines like Kafka, Google PubSub, or RabbitMQ

Base Pay Range: $127,000/yr. - $145,000/yr plus bonus
